I’m in love.
Now don’t go jumping to conclusion or freaking out on me. I am still butt crazy in love with Mr. Sweet Butter and have no plans to set him aside but I am insanely, over the moon in love.
What might you ask is the subject of my new found adoration? Im so giddy to show you,
I found them perusing the peanut butter section of my local Super Target and trust me they had me “all natural”.
See this little blog hasn’t been around very long and I have a current fan count of a very respectable 11, of which I must say to you all I love you as well; for taking a chance on a new little blog and sticking with me. I hope you are all still out there. I don’t get a lot of comments yet so I hope somebody’s out there.
Anyway, my point was for those who may have taken the time to read my “About Me” and “Why Butter” pages you’ll know that I cook with and eat all natural, real food whenever possible. The problem is I live in a pretty quite, fairly new part of North Tampa and there isn’t much around me. We have one Whole Foods store within an hours radius of Tampa and no Trader Joes to speak of. So shopping leaves me with my local grocer and Super Target. Therefore I have to be extra diligent and keep my eyes sharp as a hawk when I’m out in that food world.
The good stuff is out there I just have to look over, under or behind toxic waste and mad science experiments that have been boxed, bottled and canned to look like food. Sometimes these scavenger hunts lead to some real treasures. Luckily Target has really stepped up their game when it comes to natural and organic foods. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at what I’ve found. My grocer, Publix, has always been really great at stocking hard to find and unique items. By the way it’s also the only grocery chain I know of anywhere that still has baggers that take your groceries out to your car. Nice!
So I was thrilled when I found these two nut butters.
The ingredients on these precious gems are about as good as you can get, just look at them.
Words like organic and natural do wonderful tingly things to my taste buds and trust me one bite of these and I wanted to lock myself in a quiet happy place and spoon feed myself until the jars were clean. They were heaven, no better than heaven. In fact if these aren’t IN heaven I’m not so sure I want to go. If you can fine these Justin’s Almond Butter and Hazelnut Spread pick them up. I bet they are even online.
The question is, what to make with these beauties? They’re wonderful by themselves but I can only imagine what they would be like baked into brownies, or cake, or cookies.
I’m going to have to contemplate this.
You, go fine them. Go, shoo, get them now. You will thank me later and love me more.
