Fonts For Curly Heads & A Poem

Yes Im addicted to butter, chocolate, Uggs, Apple everything. Yes I probably need serious psychiatric help or an intervention but Betty Ford doesn’t treat these addictions. So lucky me. Lets admit to another one.

Fonts. I love them. Im the cat lady down the street and my cats are fonts. I have two websites I pull most of my fonts from but they are in no means alone. Www.acidfonts.com and www.fontspace.com are Federal Reserves of fonts with over 30,000 combined among them.

Ok so I’m admitting here in front of the world, I have nearly 5000 fonts saved on my computer. So maybe Im a virtual hoarder. I’m ok with this. Mac computers have a built in program called Font Book that lets me sort, organize and categorize them so at least they are neat and tidy.

To make it easy for you to find a perfect one for your blog, scrapbook, flyer, letter to Gran I’ve decided to share my addiction with you. Here are some of my favorite curly ones.

Clicking on them will take you directly to the download. Now for a poem about curly things, which really has no business being here other than to entertain you.

Draw a line and and give it a twirl

And now the line is a pretty curl.

What to do with a curly que

The possibilities are up to you.

Wrap a box with a pretty bow,

Add a curl and there you go.

A ribbon tied in pretty hair,

A sleeping cat curled on a stair.

A road that loops around a bend

And lips turned up at either end.

Fingers curved into a claw

To put a tickle in your craw.

An exercise to make you strong

Musical notes to write a song.

Rigatoni loopy loops

And adds a twist to pasta soup.

An apple peel dropped on the ground

The rainbow hair of a funny clown.

The twirly tail of fun monkeys,

Commas, quotes, apostrophes.

Green onions sliced from end to end

And arms wrapped round a dearest friend.

Untied laces of a shoe

The Stooges had a Curly too

A hook and lure to catch a fish

Lucky bamboo to make a wish.

Curly things are everywhere

Up and down and here and there

But for all the curls you could ever want

Just pick yourself a curly font.

Eat better, eat butter, enjoy life!

LOL so true Tina. I”m going to be posting some Halloween ones this week. I love these from invitations, food labels for party trays, etc. I’m always finding fun things to do with fonts.

I liked that poem. It was random, but it made me smile. Then the last line made me laugh cause it has absolutely nothing to do with anything :P
I like these fonts, but I don’t know what I would do with them. :/

LOL Honestly Becca I don’t either. I do keep them for creative things, like when I scrapbook, when Charming needs something for school, creating labels, typing letters, poems, cards. Or just because they’re cute and I feel better knowing they are there. :)
I challenge you to find something to make with one of them. Put that creative genius to work. :)
