I spend long hours at home working so I started this blog as a way to balance life and keep my sanity. You may think at first it’s a “foodie blog” but it’s really not. More or less it’s a multifarious collection of things that make my life go around. Mostly I love butter and am convinced it runs through my veins.
I’m the middle sister of three daughters to the youngest son of three brothers and myself had three sons. At this rate I’m guaranteed one of my boys will give me three granddaughters..eventually.
I’m a Colorado girl by birth, great great granddaughter to a true life silver mine pioneer. For the past 12 years I’ve lived in flat, snow-less, Tampa Florida. Go figure.
Screenwriting & cooking are my passions and my kitchen is my sanctuary. Mr. Sweet Butter calls it my “martial art”.
When I’m not cooking or trying to formulate the next great script, I amuse (and frustrate) myself studying French, photography or whatever catches my attention for the moment.
By day I work from my home command center for a 31$ billion (ya with a B) corporation and by night I’m an aproned crusader and a screenwriter. No you haven’t seen anything I’ve written on the big screen yet but it’s my goal that someday you will.
Walt – Mr. Sweet Butter
He’s ruggedly handsome and masculine, makes me smile, makes me crazy, drives me wild and sometimes insane. He’s the sweetest man in the whole damn town; stronger than old King Kong & I wouldn’t trade him for all the cream in Paris.
He is my Soul Man
My Brood Of Boys
Bret Is my oldest son by marriage to Mr. Sweet Butter. He is the prodigal son who once was lost but now is found and we couldn’t be happier. He’s a spitting image of his father, is level headed, adventurous, loves music and is more and more of a blessing to us each day.
Kaleb My oldest bio-child is a ground radar man in the US Air Force. He was a miracle baby, is loving, artistic, makes people laugh, flies by the seat of his pants, loves reading “Homer” and is as tall as he is amazing.
Justin My middle bio-child. He is self driven, extremely smart, protective of those he loves, looks most like me, likes to exercise and play baseball.
Brandon is the only child to Mr. Sweet Butter and myself and is the glue that bonds all the boys together forever. He can charm the pants off anyone (hence the nickname), can make a mean batch of cookies and like his brothers, is probably too smart for his own good.
All four of them have hearts the size of Jupiter and will never know how proud I am of each of them.
As for me, I love fresh warm buttered bread & soft fuzzy blankets. I sometime dodge hurricanes and more often mopping. I’m glad you stopped in and hope you decide to stay for a spell. I simply love hearing from you so feel free to leave comments, email me or track me down on Twitter and Facebook.
