  • 4 Medium white fish fillets
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon pepper, ground
  • 2 teaspoons, salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1½ cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • Oil
  1. Dry fillets completely and cut into strips, 1½ inches wide and desired length.
  2. Whisk eggs completely and pour into a flat-bottomed shallow dish.
  3. Combine flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder; pour into a second dish.
  4. Lastly spread Panko crumbs evenly on the bottom of a third pan.
  5. Pour one inch of oil into a frying pan and heat to 300 degrees.
  6. Dip fillet strips in egg and let excess drain.
  7. Coat with flour and Panko.
  8. Adding two or three strips at a time, cook fish 90 seconds to two minutes on each side.
  9. Transfer to paper towels to drain.
  10. Serve with tartar sauce.
